Philo Cramer
Philo Cramer is an American guitarist renowned for his role as the lead guitarist in the Los Angeles punk rock band FEAR, which he was a part of from 1978 until 1993 under Slash Records. He contributed to the band's iconic lineup alongside Spit Stix, Derf Scratch, and frontman Lee Ving. In 2018, he made a return to the group, reuniting with his former bandmates.
Originating from Canoga Park, California, Cramer pursued higher education at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned a bachelor's degree in physics.
In addition to his work with FEAR, he was also a member of The Cigarettes, an art punk ensemble, from 1978 to 1979, which was associated with Carlysle Records. Cramer's contributions to the punk scene have left a lasting impact, and his musical journey reflects a deep commitment to the genre's vibrant culture.
