Vincent D'Onofrio
Vincent Philip D'Onofrio, born on June 30, 1959, is a versatile American actor and filmmaker celebrated for his dynamic performances in both film and television. His career spans several decades, earning him critical acclaim and a Primetime Emmy Award nomination.
D'Onofrio first made a significant impact with his portrayal of Private Leonard "Gomer Pyle" Lawrence in Stanley Kubrick's iconic war film, *Full Metal Jacket* (1987). He continued to showcase his talent in various roles, notably as Robert E. Howard in *The Whole Wide World* (1996) and the memorable Edgar the Bug in *Men in Black* (1997) and its animated series counterpart from 1997 to 2001. His intense performance as Carl Stargher in *The Cell* (2000) further solidified his reputation as a skilled actor.
From 2001 to 2011, D'Onofrio captivated audiences as Detective Robert Goren in *Law & Order: Criminal Intent*, a role that showcased his ability to delve into complex characters.
