Adrian Frieling
Adrian Frieling stands out as a pioneering figure in the Greek entertainment scene, known for being the first and only German actor to make a significant mark in Greece. With over 50 theatrical productions and more than 30 films to his credit, Frieling has established himself as a versatile talent in both theatre and cinema.
Born in Hamburg and raised in Bremen, he pursued his passion for the arts by studying "Applied Cultural Sciences" at the University of Hildesheim, where he focused on fine arts, literature, theatre, and film, ultimately earning a Master of Arts degree. Before relocating to Greece in 1998, he showcased his skills in over 20 productions with the acclaimed German theatre company "Theater Mahagoni," in addition to performances in cities such as Hildesheim, Hannover, Berlin, Leipzig, and Jena.
Since settling in Athens, Frieling has collaborated with a host of prominent directors, including Michael Marmarinos, Angela Brouskou, and Costa-Gavras, among others. His film and television work has seen him engage with notable filmmakers such as Vassilis Mazomenos and Nikos Panayotopoulos, further enriching his impressive portfolio. Adrian Frieling’s contributions to the Greek cultural landscape have not only bridged cultural gaps but have also underscored the universal language of performance art.
