Ted Friend
Ted Friend was born in July 1949 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. He spent his formative years on Vancouver Island and began his broadcasting journey at CFAX Radio after graduating from the University of Victoria.
In 1976, Ted established his own freelance Film and Video Production company, which quickly gained traction, attracting prestigious clients from both Canada and the United States. Notable collaborations include work for the Government of Canada, Air Canada, and Walt Disney, showcasing his versatility and commitment to quality in the industry.
Recognized as a 'Broadcast Entrepreneur,' Ted transitioned from radio to television in 1985, joining VU13, which later evolved into Canwest Global. His career spans various roles, including Writer, Producer, Director, Narrator, and Animation Voiceover Talent, beginning in 1975. His diverse skill set has allowed him to contribute significantly to different forms of film and video programming, making a lasting impact on the industry.
Currently residing in Vancouver, British Columbia, Ted remains engaged in the film industry, taking on projects as opportunities arise. His extensive experience and creativity continue to influence the landscape of broadcasting and production in Canada.
