Kate Stanley Brennan, hailing from Dublin, was born into a distinguished acting lineage. Her father, Stephen Brennan, is known for roles in productions such as *The Tudors* and *Eat the Peach*, while her mother, Martina Stanley, gained recognition through her work on the show *Fair City*. Kate’s theatrical roots run deep; her grandfather, Denis Brennan, was celebrated as one of the original radio stars, and her grandmother, Daphne Carroll/Brennan, made contributions to both RTE's repertory and television series like *Strumpet City*. Additionally, her aunts, Jane Brennan (*The Tudors*) and Barbara Brennan (*Veronica Guerin*), are also accomplished actresses.

Kate's artistic journey began early, with training at Young Peoples Theatre, followed by two years of Drama and Theatre studies at Trinity College. However, she chose to leave academia to fully immerse herself in the performing arts. A year spent in New York saw her delve into music and songwriting, before returning to Ireland to launch her acting career.

She has performed extensively with the Abbey Theatre and other notable Irish companies, as well as the National Theatre Studio and the Arcola Theatre in London. In 2011, Kate starred in Kirsten Sheridan's *Dollhouse*, which premiered at the Berlinale and SXSW festivals, marking a pivotal point towards her film career. Following this, she appeared in a Hallmark movie alongside Adrian Pasdar and Amy Huberman, and shared the screen with Jack Reynor in *Dublin in Pieces*, which debuted at the 2012 Galway Film Fleadh. Currently, she is represented by Insight Entertainment in Los Angeles.
