Adalberto Martínez Chávez, widely recognized in the entertainment industry as Resortes, was a celebrated Mexican actor and comedian. Renowned for his exceptional comedic talent, Resortes also dazzled audiences with his extraordinary dancing skills, often defying the laws of gravity. He is credited with pioneering the "walking backwards" dance style, which later became known as "The Moonwalk," famously popularized by Michael Jackson.

Beginning his journey in the performing arts as a circus performer, Resortes made his film debut in 1946. Over the years, he became a prolific figure in Mexican cinema, featuring in over 50 films and numerous television series. Some of his notable works include "El Rey de México" (The King of Mexico), "El Cartero del Barrio," "Al Son del Mambo," and "El Futbolista Fenómeno" (The Phenomenal Soccer Player). However, he gained immense popularity among younger audiences through his roles in "La Niña de la Mochila Azul" (The Girl With the Blue Backpack) and its sequel, "La Niña de la Mochila Azul 2," which became two of the biggest teen film hits in Mexican history during the 1980s.

Resortes' life took a tragic turn when he was hospitalized for emphysema on April 3, 2003, and sadly passed away the following day, April 4. His legacy continues through his family, including his nephew, the renowned international artist Alex Martinez.
