Erik Grönwall

Per Erik Magnus Grönwall, born on December 3, 1987, is a prominent Swedish singer known for his contributions to hard rock and heavy metal music. Grönwall first garnered national attention when he triumphed in the 2009 season of Swedish Idol, captivating judges and audiences alike with his dynamic performances. His debut single, "Higher," achieved remarkable success, earning gold status within just three days of its release. Shortly after the competition's conclusion, he launched his self-titled debut album, which soared to the top of the Swedish albums chart and was later certified platinum.

In 2010, Grönwall took on the role of lead vocalist for the rock band H.E.A.T, where he enjoyed significant success, contributing to multiple top 40 hits over four albums. His talents extended beyond the rock genre; in 2018, he showcased his versatility by playing Simon Zealotes in the NBC live concert of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's celebrated musical, Jesus Christ Superstar, earning a Grammy nomination for Best Musical Theater Album as part of the cast.

In 2022, he joined the iconic band Skid Row, further solidifying his place in the rock music scene. However, in March 2024, Grönwall made the difficult decision to leave Skid Row to focus on his recovery from leukemia.
