Ali Rusu-Tahir

Alia "Ali" Rusu-Tahir is a talented actress with Moroccan and Romanian heritage, born in France and raised across Canada. Her diverse background is complemented by her family's creative influences; her mother is a noted architect and writer, while her father works as a computer science researcher.

Ali gained significant recognition for her role as Sasha in the psychological thriller film Kryptic, which made its debut at the prestigious SXSW festival in 2024. In addition to this breakthrough performance, she has showcased her acting skills in several acclaimed short films, including Passiflora, a poignant queer love story that captivated audiences at the Crazy8s Gala.

She pursued her passion for acting at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in 2021. Currently, she is further honing her craft at Terry Knickerbocker Studio in Brooklyn, New York.

Ali's theatrical repertoire is impressive, featuring notable productions such as Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again, Problem Child, and Seven Minutes in Heaven, among others.
