Satish Kaushik is a prominent figure in the Indian film industry, renowned for his multifaceted contributions as an actor, director, and playwright. He gained widespread fame for his unforgettable portrayal of 'Calendar' in the iconic film *Mr. India* and showcased his versatility by playing 'Chanu Ahmed' in the 2007 British drama *Brick Lane*, directed by Sarah Gavron. His comedic talent earned him the Filmfare Best Comedian Award on two occasions: first in 1990 for *Ram Lakhan* and again in 1997 for *Saajan Chale Sasural*.
