Neil Affleck

Neil Affleck, born in 1953, is a renowned Canadian animator, director, and actor. He has made significant contributions to the animation industry, notably as an animator for popular television shows like The Simpsons and Family Guy. In addition to his animation work, Affleck has also showcased his acting skills, appearing in the 1981 film Scanners and taking on a prominent role in the horror classic My Bloody Valentine, released the same year.

As a director, Affleck has helmed animated projects including Family Guy, Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends, Mike the Knight, and the 2009 special Doki. He played a crucial role in shaping the visual style of several beloved series, animating six episodes of Rocko's Modern Life, five episodes of The Critic, and one episode each of Pearlie, The Legend of Prince Valiant, and Wayside.

Affleck's talents have been recognized in the industry, as evidenced by his receipt of the prestigious Norman McLaren award for his animated short film, Hands.
