Avalon Penrose
Avalon Penrose is a multifaceted talent known for her work as an actress, comedian, musician, and mental health advocate. While pursuing a double major in Marine Biology and Psychology at UCLA, she was actively involved in the arts, taking on the role of Improv and Theatre Director for the LCC Theatre Company, founded by Randall Park. Her comedic journey began at UCLA's Spring Sing, where she captivated an audience of nearly 10,000 with her original comedy song, "I Fell in Love in an UberPool."
Completing her Bachelor's degree, Avalon honed her improv skills at the now-defunct Improv Olympic West in Hollywood, a pivotal experience that launched her comedy career. She quickly established herself in the Los Angeles comedy scene, performing improv and stand-up and becoming a member of two House Improv teams at Second City, Hollywood.
Avalon's film career took off with her participation in independent shorts produced by her collective, Probably a Cult. She made her national television debut in Season 2 of ABC's "The Gong Show," a unique comedy competition hosted by Mike Myers and produced by Will Arnett. Avalon gained significant recognition for her role as Allison in the feature film "Release Date" (2019) alongside Munro Chambers and Roland Buck III.
She continued to build her portfolio with a role in Season 2 of the Amazon series "Pretty Dudes," a co-starring part in Zoe Lister-Jones' pilot "Woman Up" for ABC, and as a regular on the Hulu kids' show "Challenge Squad."
