Kim Soo-hyun
Kim Soo-hyun (Hangul: 김수현), born on February 16, 1988, has established himself as one of South Korea's most celebrated and highest-earning actors. His impressive collection of accolades includes four Baeksang Arts Awards, two Grand Bell Awards, and a Blue Dragon Film Award. He has been recognized multiple times in Forbes Korea's Power Celebrity 40 list from 2012 to 2016 and again in 2021. Additionally, he was named Gallup Korea's Television Actor of the Year in 2014 and earned a spot on Forbes' 30 Under 30 Asia list in 2016.
Encouraged by his mother to take acting classes to help with his shyness, Kim began his career in theater before making his television debut in 2007 with the family sitcom "Kimchi Cheese Smile." He gained significant recognition through leading roles in popular dramas such as "Dream High" (2011) and "Moon Embracing the Sun" (2012), the latter of which earned him the Baeksang Arts Award for Best Actor in Television. His portrayal in the fantasy romance "My Love from the Star" (2013) solidified his status as a Hallyu star.
Following his success in "The Producers" (2015), which garnered him three Daesangs (Grand Prizes), Kim fulfilled his military service after the release of the film "Real" in 2017. In January 2020, he joined the new agency Gold Medalist. He made a triumphant return to the screen with the acclaimed drama "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" (2020) and starred in the thriller "One Ordinary Day" (2021).
