Steven Williams
Steven Lloyd Williams, born on January 7, 1949, is a prominent American actor recognized for his notable contributions to film and television. Throughout his career, he has received nominations for both a Screen Actors Guild Award and an NAACP Image Award.
Williams is perhaps most celebrated for his portrayal of Captain Adam Fuller in the iconic series 21 Jump Street. He also took on significant roles such as Lieutenant Jefferson Burnett in the original CBS drama The Equalizer (1989), Detective August Brooks in the short-lived TNT series L.A. Heat, and the enigmatic Mr. X in FOX’s acclaimed sci-fi show The X-Files. Additionally, he played Russell "Linc" Lincoln in the series Linc's and Rufus Turner in the beloved supernatural series Supernatural.
In film, he made appearances as Trooper Mount in the classic The Blues Brothers (1980), Nester in Missing in Action 2: The Beginning (1985), and the bounty hunter Creighton Duke in the horror flick Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993).
Moreover, Williams has made numerous guest appearances on a variety of television programs, including The Dukes of Hazzard, The A-Team, Booker, MacGyver, Veronica Mars, Stargate SG-1, Martin, The Bernie Mac Show, and Criminal Minds. He also has a familial connection to the arts as the uncle of cartoonist Aaron Williams.
