He unearthed his love for the arts during his sophomore year at Casa Roble High School, where he participated in a production of Agatha Christie's "Murder at the Vicarage." Initially pursuing a degree in Applied Physics at American River College, he ultimately transitioned to California State University, Fullerton, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theater and Dance.

In 2010, Ryan made the bold move from Los Angeles to New York City to further his craft. He honed his skills at the renowned Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, a vital stepping stone in the world of improvisational comedy.
