Külliki Saldre

Külliki Saldre, born Külliki Tool on December 29, 1952, is a celebrated Estonian actress known for her extensive work across stage, television, radio, and film. Hailing from the quaint town of Kehtna in Rapla County, Saldre completed her secondary education before initially pursuing photography. She later transitioned to the performing arts, enrolling at the Tallinn State Conservatory (now recognized as the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre), where she honed her craft and graduated in 1976. Among her notable classmates were fellow talents such as Merle Karusoo and Peeter Volkonski.

Throughout her illustrious career, Saldre has captivated audiences with her dynamic performances in various theatrical productions and television series. She has become a prominent figure in Estonian cinema and is well-regarded for her versatility as an actress. Not only has she made a significant impact in the performing arts, but she also comes from a creative family—her older sister, Krista Tool, is a renowned performance artist, while her younger brother, Andrus Tool, is a noted philosopher and translator.
