Regiane Alves is a prominent Brazilian actress celebrated for her compelling performances in various television dramas. She made her television debut in 1998 as the lead character Clara in the telenovela *Fascinação*, which marked the beginning of a successful career characterized by her ability to portray complex antagonists. Some of her notable roles include Lili in *Meu Pé de Laranja Lima* (1998), Clara in *Laços de Família* (2000), Dóris in *Mulheres Apaixonadas* (2003), Alice in *Páginas da Vida* (2006), and Mariacarla in *O Tempo Não Para* (2018).
Born in Santo André, São Paulo, Regiane is the daughter of José Monteiro Alves, a sales supervisor, and Maria Aparecida Lima Alves, a housewife. From a young age, she demonstrated artistic talent, excelling in poetry contests and dance festivals. Her passion for the arts blossomed in her early teens, leading her to explore modeling and acting.
At 17, after a brief stint in social communication studies, she pursued theater in São Caetano do Sul. Regiane moved to Rio de Janeiro in 1996 to join Rede Globo's Actors Workshop but faced initial setbacks, including not securing a role in the popular soap opera *Malhação*. Undeterred, she returned home and continued honing her craft, eventually landing her breakout role in *Fascinação*.
