Hélène Perdrière, born on April 17, 1912, in Asnières-sur-Seine, was a prominent figure in French theater and cinema. She began her illustrious career by winning a first prize in comedy at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Art in 1928. This achievement led her to become the inaugural resident actress at the prestigious Comédie-Française. However, she chose to leave this esteemed institution to partner with the renowned actor Pierre Fresnay in Parisian boulevard theaters.

In April 1952, Perdrière made a triumphant return to the Comédie-Française, where she remained an integral part of the company until its closure in December 1973. During her tenure, she brought several works of playwright Marivaux to life on stage, showcasing her talent and versatility. After her time at the Comédie-Française, she joined the Renaud-Barrault Company, where she continued to captivate audiences until her retirement a year later.

In addition to her theatrical pursuits, Perdrière also served as an election interpreter, further demonstrating her linguistic skills and commitment to communication. Hélène Perdrière passed away on August 27, 1992, in Boulogne-Billancourt, leaving behind a legacy enriched by her significant contributions to the French performing arts.
