Rebecca Forstadt
Rebecca Lynn Olkowski, widely recognized by her maiden name Rebecca Forstadt, was born on December 16, 1953, in Denver, Colorado. She is an accomplished American voice actress, renowned for her roles portraying anime characters with charming voices. In addition to her primary name, she is also known by the aliases Reba West and Becky Olkowski.
Forstadt pursued her passion for theater at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California. Her acting journey commenced at Knott's Berry Farm's Bird Cage Theater, where she often played the damsel in distress in various melodramas. Following this, she relocated to Hollywood and took on the role of wardrobe mistress for popular television series such as The White Shadow and Hill Street Blues, in addition to the film S.O.B. Her involvement in live theater in the Los Angeles region garnered her acclaim, particularly for her performance as Josette in the world premiere of Eugène Ionesco's Tales for People Under 3 Years of Age at Stages Theatre Center in 1982. She also contributed to several independent films, including Mugsy's Girls alongside Ruth Gordon and Laura Branigan, and Round Numbers featuring Kate Mulgrew and Samantha Eggar. Her television credits include appearances on shows like Hill Street Blues, St. Elsewhere, and L.A. Law.
Forstadt's significant break in voice acting came when she secured the role of Lynn Minmei in the English adaptation of the 1980s anime series Robotech. Since then, she has voiced countless anime characters and has expanded her work to include non-anime cartoons, live-action series such as Masked Rider and Power Rangers: Time Force, as well as commercials and radio. Additionally, she has provided background voices for films including Antz, Dr. Doolittle, and The Santa Clause.
