Patrick Gilmore

Patrick Gilmore, born on June 1, 1976, is a talented Canadian actor renowned for his role as Dale Volker in the acclaimed science fiction series Stargate Universe. His versatility extends to other notable sci-fi productions, including Battlestar Galactica and Eureka, as well as portraying Trennan in Riese. Notably, Gilmore stands out as one of the few actors to have appeared in all three Stargate television series, sharing this distinction with actors like Richard Dean Anderson, Amanda Tapping, Michael Shanks, Ona Grauer, and Gary Jones. Initially introduced as a supporting character, Gilmore’s compelling performance as Volker captivated the show's creators, leading to an expansion of his character’s role and backstory—paralleling the experience of Paul McGillion’s Dr. Carson Beckett.

In addition to his work in the Stargate franchise, Patrick takes on the role of entrepreneur Tom Drexler in AMC’s series The Killing. Beyond acting, he comes from a sports-oriented family; his father, Tom Gilmore, was a professional hockey player, and his brother, Scott Gilmore, is the Executive Director and a co-founder of Peace Dividend Trust.
