Mark William Calaway, widely recognized by his ring persona The Undertaker, is a retired American professional wrestler who currently holds a legends contract with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). The Undertaker stands out as one of the most iconic figures in the realm of professional wrestling. His remarkable journey with WWE, which was previously known as WWF, spans an impressive three decades, marking him as the longest-tenured wrestler in the company's history. Upon his retirement in 2020, he was the last active wrestler to have made an appearance on the inaugural episode of WWF Monday Night Raw (now known as WWE Raw) in 1993.

Calaway commenced his wrestling career in 1984 with World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW) and transitioned to World Championship Wrestling (WCW) by 1989, where he was billed as "Mean" Mark Callous. After his contract with WCW wasn't renewed in 1990, he joined the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). He made his debut as Kane the Undertaker, later simplifying it to The Undertaker during his television introduction at the Thanksgiving-themed pay-per-view, Survivor Series, in 1990. That night, he appeared alongside The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase in an elimination tag team match. Subsequently, he was managed by Paul Bearer, which significantly aided his rise to the WWF World Title within a year.

Throughout his tenure with WWE, The Undertaker achieved numerous championships and accolades, most notably a legendary 21-match winning streak at WrestleMania, WWE's premier annual event. Highly regarded by both fans and fellow wrestlers, The Undertaker's illustrious and lengthy career cements his legacy as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time.
