Jesseca Liu
Jesseca Liu's journey in the entertainment industry began in 2004 when a producer from Mediacorp recognized her potential and cast her as He Yi Xuan in the sports drama "The Champion." This pivotal role marked the start of her full-time acting career in Singapore. Liu gained significant acclaim for her performance as a Vietnamese bride in the 100-episode drama "Portrait of Home," which not only earned her the Most Popular Newcomer Award but also a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the Star Awards in 2005.
In 2006, she achieved her first leading role in "Rhapsody In Blue," a breakthrough that opened doors to numerous lead roles in highly-rated Mediacorp series such as "Secrets For Sale," "The Oath," "Marry Me," "Blessings," "Mind Matters," "Babies On Board," and "Hero." In a notable shift, Liu showcased her writing skills in 2014 with the web drama "Who Killed The Lead," where she not only starred as the female lead but also won recognition for Best Digital Fiction & Non-Fiction Series at the Asian Television Awards.
Additionally, she ventured into film, portraying a mother alongside Taiwanese actor-host Jacko Chiang in "Bring Back The Dead." Most recently, Liu was honored with the "Outstanding Leading Actress in Comedy" Award at the 2019 Asia Rainbow TV Awards, further solidifying her status as a talented and versatile actress in the industry.
