Alessandra Ferri

Alessandra Ferri is a distinguished Italian prima ballerina renowned for her exceptional artistry and contributions to ballet. Her journey in dance began at the prestigious La Scala Theatre Ballet School, where she honed her skills before advancing to the upper levels of the Royal Ballet School. In a remarkable achievement, she represented her school at the 1980 Prix de Lausanne, securing a scholarship that allowed her to further her training at the Royal Ballet School.

Ferri's professional career took off with the Royal Ballet from 1980 to 1984, after which she joined the American Ballet Theatre, where she performed from 1985 until 2007. She also danced with the La Scala Theatre Ballet between 1992 and 2007 and took on various roles as an international guest artist. Her illustrious career was momentarily paused when she retired on August 10, 2007, at the age of 44. However, her passion for dance led her to make a triumphant return in 2013, captivating audiences once again.
