Andrei Zayats
Andrei Zayats, born in Rostov-na-Donu, Russian Federation, later relocated to Riga, Latvia, where he became a naturalized EU citizen. His academic journey took him to France for five years, before he settled in the United Kingdom, earning his degree from the Birmingham School of Acting in 2008. He currently resides in London.
Fluent in Russian, English, Latvian, and French, Andrei has carved out a diverse career as an actor, engaging in Film, Theatre, Television, and Voiceover work. He is affiliated with several professional organizations, including EQUITY, BECTU, and AFDAS.
Among his notable performances, Andrei portrayed Kovanski, a supporting lead in the French period drama "Madame Solario," which aired on CANAL+ and was set against the picturesque backdrop of Lake Como, Italy. Directed by Rene Feret, the film was shot in France and Italy during the summer of 2011.
In addition to his work in "Madame Solario," Andrei's film credits include a Russian soldier in "X-Men: First Class" (2011) and a Russian officer named Dimitri in "Mercenaries" (ABC Films). He also portrayed Viktor Viktorious, a Russian chess champion, in the BBC series "Dani's House" (2010).
Beyond acting, Andrei is a qualified stage combat instructor certified by the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat, and he is a member of the Society of American Fight Directors, showcasing his diverse skill set in the performing arts.
