Justin Trudeau

Justin Pierre James Trudeau, born on December 25, 1971, is a prominent Canadian politician currently serving as the 23rd Prime Minister of Canada, a position he has held since November 2015. He is the leader of the Liberal Party, having assumed this role in April 2013. Notably, Trudeau is recognized as the second-youngest prime minister in Canada's history, following Joe Clark, and he holds the distinction of being the first prime minister with a direct familial connection to a previous prime minister, being the son of Pierre Trudeau.

Trudeau's educational journey began at Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf, leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree in literature from McGill University in 1994. He furthered his academic pursuits by earning a Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia in 1998. Before entering politics, he worked as a high school teacher in Vancouver, where he taught subjects including French, humanities, math, and drama.

In the early 2000s, Trudeau shifted his focus towards advocacy, particularly in youth and environmental initiatives. He chaired the youth charity Katimavik and served as director of the Canadian Avalanche Association, showcasing his commitment to community service. In 2006, he was appointed chair of the Liberal Party's Task Force on Youth Renewal, emphasizing his dedication to engaging younger generations in politics and public service.
