Pamela Susan Shoop
Pamela Susan Shoop, born on June 7, 1948, is a prominent American actress known for her diverse roles in both film and television, particularly in productions associated with Glen A. Larson.
Shoop gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Karen, a nurse, in the 1981 horror classic Halloween II. Her television career features notable appearances in landmark series, including the pilot of Knight Rider, where she appeared in "Knight of the Phoenix," as well as its season four opener, "Knight of the Juggernaut." Additionally, she played a part in the pilot of Magnum, P.I. and made guest appearances on a variety of shows such as The Mod Squad, B. J. and the Bear, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, Simon & Simon, Wonder Woman, The Incredible Hulk, and Murder, She Wrote. Although her last credited role was in a 1996 episode of Kung Fu: The Legend Continues, Shoop remains an active figure at fan conventions celebrating her film legacy. She also participated in the 2006 DVD release Halloween: 25 Years of Terror.
Pamela is the daughter of Julie Bishop, a celebrated actress from the 1930s and 1940s, and Major General Clarence A. Shoop. In 1987, she married Terrance Sweeney, a former Jesuit priest, and together they penned an autobiography titled What God Hath Joined, which explores the unique challenges faced by couples in similar circumstances.
