Rick Cassidy
Rick Cassidy, born Richard Edward Ciezniak Jr. in Lackawanna, Pennsylvania, was inspired to pursue a career in professional bodybuilding at the young age of 14, influenced by the legendary muscleman actor Steve Reeves. After serving in the Navy, Cassidy transitioned into the world of competitive bodybuilding, which eventually led him to become a physique model. This path opened the door to a prolific career in the adult film industry, where he starred in approximately 100 adult films and loops, encompassing both gay and straight genres.
Throughout his career, Cassidy made notable appearances in various non-adult films, showcasing his versatility as an actor. He was featured in a trio of works penned by the infamous Ed Wood: "Drop Out Wife" (1972), "The Beach Bunnies" (1976), and "Hot Ice" (1977). Additionally, he appeared in cult classics such as the horror films "Sex Psycho!" (1970) and "Evil Come Evil Go" (1972), as well as the Australian softcore comedy "Fantasm Comes Again" (1977) and the early Charles Band production "Auditions" (1978). His role in the iconic adult film "New Wave Hookers" (1985) further solidified his status in the industry.
Cassidy retired from acting in the mid-1980s and returned to his home state, where he embarked on a successful career in real estate. He passed away in 2013 at the age of 70, leaving behind a diverse legacy in both bodybuilding and film.
