Fakhraddin Manafov
Fakhraddin Manaf oglu Manafov, a distinguished Azerbaijani and Soviet actor, was born into a family that relocated to Baku during his childhood. His cinematic journey commenced in 1978, marking the beginning of a prolific career in film. After completing his studies at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts in 1980, Manafov joined Azerbaijanfilm, where he became a prominent figure in Azerbaijani cinema. Over the years, he contributed to various productions at Azerbaijanfilm and also worked with Uzbekfilm and in Russia, showcasing his versatility as an actor.
One of his notable performances includes the portrayal of Ibrahim Khalil Khan in the film "The Fate of the Emperor," a role that earned him the prestigious "Zirvia" award. In recognition of his exceptional contributions to the arts, Manafov received the title of People's Artist of Azerbaijan in 2000, a testament to his impact on the cultural landscape of the nation. Furthermore, he has been recognized as a presidential retiree since 2006.
Manafov's theatrical endeavors include a memorable debut at the Azerbaijan State Russian Drama Theater named after Samed Vurgun on April 24, 2016, where he starred in the play "Casanova: Lessons of Love." His enduring legacy in the performing arts continues to inspire many in Azerbaijan and beyond.
