Rorion Gracie

Rorion Gracie, born on January 10, 1952, is a celebrated Brazilian-American Grand Master in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a prominent figure within the esteemed Gracie family. As the eldest son of Hélio Gracie, Rorion holds the distinguished 9th degree red belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, placing him among the elite practitioners in the field. He played a pivotal role in bringing Gracie/Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to the forefront in the United States, particularly following the arrival of his cousin, Carley Gracie, in 1972.

In addition to his martial arts expertise, Rorion is an accomplished writer, publisher, and lecturer, sharing his knowledge and passion for the art. He is also known for co-founding the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), a groundbreaking organization that has transformed the landscape of mixed martial arts.
