Nigel Barber
Nigel Barber is a seasoned American actor residing in London, England, with a professional career spanning over five decades since joining the Actors' Equity Association (AEA) in 1968. He is also affiliated with British Equity, SAG, and AFTRA, showcasing his versatile talent across various mediums including stage, film, television, radio, and commercial print.
In 2014, Nigel demonstrated his range by portraying notable roles in several feature films: he played the male lead, Declan Glas, opposite Alexandra Paul in "Firequake," featured alongside Jane Seymour in "High Strung," and took on the role of the Mayor in "Lake Placid 5," directed by Stephan Faust. That same year, he starred as Frank in the world premiere of "A Hard Rain," directed by Tricia Thorns, and was part of the original cast of "The Bodyguard - The Musical" at the Adelphi Theatre in the West End.
Nigel was also the lead, James Arthur Ray, in the world premiere of "Hearts On Fire," where his performance earned him a nomination for Best Performance at the Edinburgh Festival. Critics praised him for his compelling portrayal, noting his ability to evoke a sense of frightening delusion.
A dual citizen of the U.S. and the U.K., Nigel holds extensive experience in green screen and voiceover work. He has trained at various prestigious institutions, including the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts and the Stella Adler Academy of Acting and Theatre in Los Angeles, among others.
