Melanie Nelson
Melanie Nelson hails from the picturesque region of southern Utah, where her artistic journey began. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Southern Utah University, contributing her talents as part of the acclaimed Utah Shakespearean Festival acting ensemble. Pursuing her passion further, she completed her Master of Fine Arts at Southern Methodist University, performing at notable venues such as the Dallas Theater Center and Fort Worth Shakespeare in the Park.
In addition to her academic credentials, Melanie honed her skills under the guidance of renowned voice coach Patsy Rodenburg, who is known for her work at The National Theatre and her book, *The Right to Speak*. Melanie is also a recognized actor/combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD).
Throughout her career, she has delivered memorable performances in diverse roles. Some of her standout performances with the PAC include Becca in *The Rabbit Hole*, Ms. Cheveley in *An Ideal Husband*, and Elvira in *Blithe Spirit*. Other notable roles span productions like Portia in *The Merchant of Venice* at the Greer Garson Theater and Ophelia in *Hamlet* at Fort Worth Shakespeare in the Park. Melanie's versatility extends to film and television, with appearances in *Midway to Heaven*, *Everwood*, and *Charmed*. Her impressive body of work showcases her dedication and talent in the performing arts.
