Don McGraw
Don McGraw was born on May 2, 1966, in Chicago, Illinois, to Donald P. McGraw, Jr. and Helen Ann Hughes. His father managed a factory producing beer cans, while his mother was a homemaker and former telephone operator for Illinois Bell. Due to his father's career, Don's childhood was marked by frequent relocations, spending time in Longview, Texas; Gretna, Louisiana; and Warner Robins, Georgia.
At the age of 13, Don landed his first role as Noah Claypole in a community theater production of Charles Dickens' *Oliver Twist*, a decision influenced by a classmate's suggestion that it would attract teenage girls. This initial foray into acting blossomed into a passion that spanned over three decades. During his career, he worked as a high school drama and English teacher, amassing more than 75 stage credits, directing around 45 plays, and writing a dozen more. It wasn't until his mid-forties that he considered pursuing acting professionally.
In his 44th year, health issues led him to reassess his career path. While recovering, he and his wife encouraged him to explore film acting. What began as a quest for background work quickly evolved into significant acting roles within a month. Don now resides in Central Georgia with his wife Denise and their five sons, alongside four dogs and a cat. An advocate for the American Association of Adaptive Sports Programs (AAASP), he passionately supports wheelchair-bound student athletes, particularly as a father to two sons with Muscular Dystrophy.
