Diana Bracho
Diana Bracho, born Diana Bracho Bordes on December 12, 1944, in Mexico City, is a distinguished Mexican actress renowned for her extensive work in film, television, and theater. Coming from a family immersed in the arts, she is the daughter of prominent actor and director Julio Bracho and the niece of actress Andrea Palma. Bracho has been married twice, first to Dr. Felipe Bracho, with whom she has a daughter named Andrea, and later to artist and designer Rafael Cortes.
Her career commenced at a young age, making her film debut as a child in her father's productions, *San Felipe* (1949) and *Immaculate Conception* (1950). Bracho pursued her education in Philosophy and Letters in New York, later making her professional stage debut in Abelardo Rodríguez's play *Israfel* alongside Sergio Bustamante.
In television, she gained prominence starting in 1973, earning acclaim for her roles in telenovelas such as *Cuna de lobos* (1986), where she portrayed the unforgettable Leonora Navarro, and the villainous Evangelina Vizcaíno in *Cadenas de Amargura* (1991). Bracho has received two Silver Ariel awards, first in 1973 and again for *El infierno, de todos tan temido*, with additional nominations for *Letters from Marusia* (1976) and *Entre Pancho Villa y una mujer desnuda* (1996).
In 2002, she was appointed president of the Academia Mexicana de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas. Bracho has also collaborated on international co-productions, showcasing her versatility in films from various countries. Currently, she is poised to take on a role in the third season of *Mujeres Asesinas*, further solidifying her legacy in the entertainment industry.
