Rod Ball was born in Miami, Florida, in 1965, and began his acting career at a young age with a minor role in "Lenny," a film about the controversial comedian Lenny Bruce, directed by Bob Fosse and featuring Dustin Hoffman. His early exposure to the film industry continued with a role in "The Island," starring Michael Caine, which enabled him to join the Screen Actors Guild (now known as SAG-AFTRA). Over the years, Rod has dedicated part of his time to serving on the Local Board of the union.

Rod's academic journey began at the University of Miami, where he majored in Business Management while also exploring film directing and theater. He later transferred to the University of Colorado in Boulder, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management.

Throughout his career, Rod has amassed a diverse portfolio, working in both South Florida and Los Angeles. His extensive experience includes appearances in over 50 commercials, a variety of corporate videos, numerous voice-over projects, and occasional stage performances.

Currently, Rod is focused on several upcoming projects, including his independent film production company, Principio Productions, LLC, which he founded to pursue his passion for filmmaking. He has also penned several screenplays, with aspirations to film them in his cherished hometown of Miami.
