5 titles Acting Jul 11, 1962 Berlin, Germany

Heike Hanold-Lynch embarked on her journey towards a creative career at the young age of 16, leaving her family home to finance her own education through the completion of her Abitur. Though she initially pursued studies in German literature and psychology at the Freie Universität Berlin, she soon abandoned her academic path for the vibrant artistic atmosphere of New York City. There, she trained at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre under Sanford Meisner and honed her craft alongside notable talents like Philip Seymour Hoffman under the guidance of method teacher Tony Greco.

Hanold-Lynch's experiences at Columbia University's Graduate Film Division, where she collaborated with Leonore de Koven in Directing Actors in Film, further solidified her commitment to acting. She became a founding member of a theater group, showcasing her talent in John Patrick Shanley’s plays, including "Danny and the Deep Blue Sea" and "Savage in Limbo." After her return to Berlin in 1994, she dedicated herself to coaching actors for various film and television productions, starting with the series "St. Angela."

In 2001, she launched the live workshop "Kamera läuft!" at the Munich Film Festival, mentoring young actors on camera. A turning point in her career occurred when Stephen Daldry encouraged her to pursue acting again for the film "Der Vorleser," leading to roles in major international films such as "Unknown Identity," "Cloud Atlas," and Wes Anderson's "The Grand Budapest Hotel."

In Germany, her versatility has been evident in productions like "Ein blinder Held – Die Liebe des Otto Weidt," where her performance received acclaim. She has also appeared in the award-winning series "Weissensee" and films including "Wer wenn nicht wir" and "Dyslexie." Currently based in Berlin, Heike Hanold-Lynch continues to make her mark in the film and television industry.
