Harold Hunter

Harold Atkins Hunter was a notable American skateboarder and actor, best known for his role as Harold in the groundbreaking 1995 film "Kids," directed by Larry Clark. Hunter gained widespread recognition in 1989 when Thrasher magazine featured an article highlighting the vibrant skateboard culture in New York City, which helped to establish him as a prominent figure in the skateboarding community. As a goofy-footed skater, he became well-known for his unique style and was most famously sponsored by Zoo York.

In addition to his skateboarding career, Harold ventured into entrepreneurship by founding Rock Star Bearings Co., further cementing his influence within the skateboarding industry. Tragically, Hunter's life was cut short, but his legacy continues to inspire young skaters. In his honor, the Harold Hunter Foundation was established to support urban youth who are passionate about skateboarding, ensuring that his love for the sport lives on through future generations.
