Manpreet Bachu
Manpreet Singh Bachu is a talented English actor known for his diverse roles across television and film. Born in April 1994 in Coventry, West Midlands, he embarked on his acting journey in 2012 with a debut on the ITV sketch show Fool Britannia. His career quickly gained momentum when he appeared in the iconic BBC series Doctor Who in 2013. In 2015, Bachu showcased his skills in the Channel 4 series Humans and landed a recurring role in the royal drama The Royals. That same year, he joined the cast of the BBC Scotland soap opera River City, portraying Harry Jandhu until 2016.
Bachu made his film debut in Level Up (2016) and subsequently appeared in The Moment (2017) and Earthy Encounters (2018). He returned to the small screen in 2019 with guest spots in The Stand Up Sketch Show and Fleabag, followed by a role in the daytime soap Doctors in 2020. His performance in the short film Slave to the Page (2021) earned him nominations at the Midlands Movies Awards and the Unrestricted View Film Festival.
In 2022, he continued to make waves with recurring roles in the BBC thriller Killing Eve and the ITV drama DI Ray, alongside a part in the Dutch film Soof 3. In 2024, Bachu took on notable roles, including guest appearances in the BBC Three fantasy series Domino Day and the Apple TV+ miniseries Masters of the Air. He also joined the cast of BBC’s long-running medical drama Casualty as Tariq Hussein, marking a significant milestone in his career.
