Peter Weller
Peter Frederick Weller, born on June 24, 1947, is a distinguished American actor, director, and educator in both film and theater.
He is widely recognized for his performances as the lead in the first two installments of the RoboCop franchise, as well as for portraying Buckaroo Banzai in the beloved cult film, The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension. Weller garnered an Academy Award nomination for his directorial work on the 1993 short film Partners, in which he also had a role as an actor. Additionally, he served as the host of the History Channel series Engineering an Empire, showcasing his interest in historical narratives. Weller also took on the role of Stan Liddy during the fifth season of the acclaimed Showtime series Dexter, further solidifying his versatility as an actor.
With a career spanning several decades, Weller has made significant contributions to the entertainment industry, both in front of and behind the camera, while also sharing his knowledge and passion for the arts through teaching and lecturing.
