Aamir Khan
Aamir Khan, born on March 14, 1965, is a prominent figure in Indian cinema, recognized for his multifaceted roles as an actor, director, producer, and television host. His journey in the film industry began at an early age when he appeared as a child actor in the 1973 film Yaadon Ki Baaraat, directed by his uncle Nasir Hussain. Eleven years later, Khan made his official debut as a lead actor in the film Holi (1984), but it was his role in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988) that catapulted him to stardom. He earned his first National Film Award (Special Jury Award) for his performance in Raakh (1989).
Khan's accolades continued to grow, culminating in his first Filmfare Award for Best Actor for the blockbuster Raja Hindustani (1996). His second Filmfare win came for his role in the critically acclaimed Lagaan, which also marked the launch of his production company. After a brief hiatus, he returned to the screen in Mangal Pandey: The Rising (2005) and garnered a Critics Award for his standout performance in Rang De Basanti (2006). He made his directorial debut with Taare Zameen Par (2007), winning a Filmfare Award for Best Director. His films Ghajini (2008) and 3 Idiots (2009) set box office records, with the latter becoming the highest-grossing Bollywood film at the time. For his significant contributions to cinema, Khan was awarded the Padma Shri in 2003 and the Padma Bhushan in 2010 by the Government of India.
