Pernilla Wahlgren
Pernilla Wahlgren, a prominent Swedish performer, began her illustrious career at just four years old, sharing the stage with her mother in the TV play *Den längsta dagen* (The Longest Day). Her artistic journey continued at Adolf Fredrik's Music School, where she honed her craft, and she later became involved with the Saltsjöbaden theatre.
In a significant breakthrough, she landed the lead role in the musical *Annie* at Folkan in Stockholm, showcasing her talent amidst fierce competition. Following her performances in *Lilla prinsen* (The Little Prince) and a small part in Ingmar Bergman’s acclaimed film *Fanny and Alexander*, Pernilla joined the cast of the Swedish adaptation of *The Sound of Music* in 1982, portraying the character Louise. Her versatility shone through in various productions at Folkan, including *Karlsson på taket*, *Mio, min Mio*, *Snövit* (Snow White), and *Ringens hemlighet*.
In 1983, she gained acclaim for her portrayal of Annika in the musical adaptation of *Pippi Longstocking*. Her performance as Pippi in the final two shows earned her rave reviews. Additionally, she made notable television appearances, including her debut single "Nu har det tänt" on *Razzel* in 1984.
Wahlgren has also starred in films such as Bo Widerberg's *Ormens väg på hälleberget* (1986) and *Snoken* (1995). Her comedic talents have been featured in various productions across Stockholm, and she has received two nominations for the Guldmasken theatre award. Pernilla's extensive musical repertoire includes roles in *Annie Get Your Gun*, *Grease*, *The Wizard of Oz*, *Cats*, and *Nils Karlsson Pyssling*.
