Ayumi Ishida

Ayumi Ishida, born Yoshiko Ishida on March 26, 1948, in Sasebo, Nagasaki, Japan, is a celebrated singer and actress who grew up in Ikeda, Osaka. As the second of four daughters, she carved out a remarkable career in both music and film.

Ishida gained significant recognition in the film industry, winning the Best Actress award at the 4th Yokohama Film Festival for her role in "Yajūdeka." Her talent was further acknowledged with Best Actress accolades at the 29th Blue Ribbon Awards and the 11th Hochi Film Award for her performances in "House on Fire" and "Tokei - Adieu l'hiver."

In addition to her acting career, Ishida made a substantial impact on the music scene. Her hit single "BLUE LIGHT Yokohama" dominated the charts, reaching number one in 1968 and 1969. Other notable tracks include "Anata Nara Dousuru," which peaked at number two, and "Sabaku No You Na Tokyo De," which reached number three.
