Kasturi Shankar is a renowned Indian actress, model, and television presenter, celebrated for her contributions to the Tamil film industry. She made her cinematic debut in 1991 with the film "Aatha Un Koyiley," paving the way for a successful career in acting. Over the years, she showcased her talent in several notable Tamil films, including the horror feature "Rasathi Varum Naal," as well as "Government Mappilai," "Chinnavar," and "Senthamizh Paatu," where she starred alongside the esteemed actor Prabhu Ganesan in 1992.

In 1995, Kasturi's life and career were captured in a 30-minute documentary titled "Kasthuri: A South Indian Film Star," produced by Richard Breyer and N. C. Rajamani, highlighting her impact on the industry. After a brief hiatus from acting following her appearance in the Hindi short film "The Bypass" in 2003, she made a notable return to the big screen in 2010 with the comedy film "Thamizh Padam."
