Ikuyo Kuroda

Ikuyo Kuroda (黒田 育世, Kuroda Ikuyo) is a distinguished Japanese choreographer and dancer whose artistic journey began at the tender age of six when she immersed herself in classical ballet. Her passion for movement led her to the United Kingdom in 1997, where she expanded her horizons by delving into contemporary dance.

In 2002, Kuroda made a significant mark on the dance scene by establishing her own company, BATIK, which has since been a platform for innovative choreography and performance. Her work reflects a unique fusion of traditional and modern styles, captivating audiences and critics alike.
