Cosso first captured the public's attention in the beloved teen comedy-drama *La Boum 2* (1982), where he portrayed the boyfriend of Sophie Marceau. His success in this role paved the way for his status as a teen idol across Europe. One of his standout performances came in the romantic comedy *Cinderella '80* (1984), where he played Mizio, further solidifying his popularity.

In later years, Cosso's career expanded internationally, with a notable role as the werewolf Claude in the American film *An American Werewolf in Paris* (1997).
