Sala Baker
Sala Baker is a New Zealand-born actor and stunt performer hailing from Wellington. Initially brought on board as one of many stunt doubles for the acclaimed film trilogy, The Lord of the Rings, he ultimately secured the iconic role of the Dark Lord Sauron. In addition to this prominent character, Baker portrayed a range of other roles, including various Orcs, a Gondorian soldier, and a member of the Rohirrim. Beyond his contributions to Middle-earth, Baker has also showcased his talents in other notable films, such as The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, as well as in two installments of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Moreover, he was involved in the crew for the 2003 film The Last Samurai, contributing his expertise to the production. Baker’s diverse skill set and dedication to his craft have allowed him to leave a mark in the film industry, particularly in the realms of fantasy and action filmmaking.
