**Mara New**

Mara New was born in Milan, Italy, into the renowned Beltrami House of Fashion, which has roots dating back to the early 1900s. Her family's journey began as tailors and shoemakers before transitioning into clothing design and manufacturing in the 1920s. The House of Beltrami continues to operate in Italy today. In 2004, driven by her passion for fashion, Mara established the Golden Needle Awards, aimed at celebrating and supporting emerging designers in the industry.

Mara’s journey took her from Italy to France and then to Australia, where she pursued a degree in Architecture while studying Acting at the Karnak Playhouse under Diane Cilento and dancing with Roger Hazel at the American Dance and Musical Theater Academy in Brisbane. During her time in Australia, she showcased her talent in numerous live performances and television productions.

After relocating to Canada, Mara joined a dance group but soon found herself in radio, hosting her own show. She then secured a role with MTV (Multicultural Television) in Toronto, where she formed a close friendship with Marco Valenti, Liberace's protégé, who later became her brother-in-law. As the "Road Manager" for the Liberace Show, she organized several national tours for Valenti.

An accomplished painter, Mara has won numerous European art competitions and had the honor of meeting Pablo Picasso through her mentor, Huala Dio, with whom she developed a lasting friendship. Together with her husband, she has produced CDs for jazz and blues artist Barbara Morrison and successfully promoted the "LA Blues Festival" featuring international star Asha Puthli.

Currently, Mara is engaged in her Internet TV show "Boutique Discovery," and appears in the popular series "Swedish Hollywood Wives," alongside various roles in major film productions.
