Madhu

Madhavan Nair, better known by his stage name Madhu, is a distinguished Indian actor celebrated for his work in Malayalam cinema. Rising to fame as a leading man in the 1960s and 1970s, he became a household name and a defining figure of the era. Beyond acting, Madhu ventured into film direction and production, and at one point owned the acclaimed Uma Film Studio, cementing his influence in the industry.

His career is marked by numerous accolades. In 2013, the Government of India honored him with the Padma Shri for his enduring contributions to the arts. Madhu made history as the first-ever recipient of the Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Malayalam, a feat he followed with three additional Filmfare wins. He also earned five Kerala State Film Awards, reflecting his consistent excellence and versatility on screen.
