Ya Hui

Ya Hui emerged as a standout talent after capturing the Miss Telegenic Award at Mediacorp's Star Search 2007, a pivotal moment that led to her signing with the network. She quickly gained prominence with her role in the long-form drama "Love Blossoms," where she starred alongside celebrated actors Ivy Lee and Zheng Ge Ping, both of whom had previously won prestigious accolades at Mediacorp’s Star Awards. Ya Hui's remarkable performance in this series earned her nominations for the Newcomer Award of the Year at The New Paper Flame Awards 2008 and the Best Newcomer Award at the Star Awards 2008.

Her journey in the performing arts began in childhood, fueled by a passion for dance. Throughout her academic years, she was a dedicated member of her school's Dance Team and actively engaged in volunteer initiatives, including a significant Overseas Community Involvement Programme in Yunnan, China, where she showcased her commitment to service and resilience through challenging physical tasks.

In 2012, Ya Hui made her debut as a host, winning over a young audience with the program "Mat Yoyo." She continued her ascent in 2014 with a memorable role as a wanton mee seller in a drama, which resonated well with viewers and earned her a spot in the Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes at the Star Awards that year.

A strong advocate for social responsibility, Ya Hui has been a dedicated supporter of local charities and has served as an ambassador for the Singapore Red Cross since 2017.
