**Biography of Alejandro Furth**
Alejandro Furth has established himself as a dynamic force in the entertainment industry, seamlessly transitioning between cultures and genres. His impressive repertoire spans characters from the underworld to the heroic on television, in film, and on stage, showcasing his remarkable adaptability in both English and Spanish.
Currently, Furth is captivating audiences as Roman Salgado, an investigative journalist tackling corruption and drug trafficking, in the acclaimed Netflix series *Narcos: Mexico*. His talent has not gone unnoticed, earning him two Screen Actors Guild Award nominations as part of the ensemble cast of *BARRY* (HBO) for "Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series."
Originally hailing from Venezuela, Furth honed his craft at the prestigious Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York City. During his time in NYC, he joined the esteemed Lab Theatre and the LAByrinth Theater Company, both known for their innovative productions.
Leveraging the burgeoning international market, Furth made significant strides in Spanish-language television across Venezuela, Mexico, and Colombia. Upon relocating to Los Angeles, he founded La Comuna, a Latino production unit at the award-winning MET Theatre, where he directed and produced original works. Additionally, he contributed to the West Coast premiere of Stephen Adly Guirgis’ *The Little Flower of East Orange* with the Elephant Theatre.
In 2019, he starred in the English adaptation of José Sanchis Sinisterra's classic *AY, CARMELA!* at the Hudson Theatre, under the direction of acclaimed Venezuelan director Alberto Arvelo, with sets designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry and music led by Gustavo Dudamel.
As a dedicated advocate for his community, Furth serves on the board of "Venezolanos en Hollywood," a nonprofit organization supporting Venezuelan artists in the United States.
