Roy Horn, born Uwe Ludwig Horn on October 3, 1944, was a celebrated German magician and entertainer, renowned for his extraordinary performances alongside his partner, Siegfried Fischbacher, as the iconic duo Siegfried and Roy. They captivated audiences worldwide, particularly with their mesmerizing acts featuring majestic white lions and tigers, creating a unique blend of magic and animal performance that defined their careers.
Their partnership reached remarkable heights, particularly in Las Vegas, where they performed at the Mirage Hotel. However, on October 3, 2003, during a live show, Horn's career took a tragic turn when he was attacked by Mantacore, a seven-year-old white tiger.
