Bill Fortenberry
Bill Fortenberry, a 26-year retired Air Force veteran hailing from Pensacola, Florida, has carved out a unique niche as the manager of Old Tombstone Western Town. In this role, he imparts his knowledge of stage acting, stunt fighting, falls, and live special effects enhancements for the acclaimed Western Comedy Gun Fight. Under the guidance of experienced actors and stunt professionals Lee McKechnie and Dickie (Buck) Stanley, Bill quickly mastered the craft and now oversees the theme park while mentoring aspiring performers.
Bill is recognized for his adaptability as both an actor and stuntman, seamlessly blending the two disciplines. His standout performance in the opening scene of Gunfight at Rio Bravo earned accolades from Producer Joe Cornet and Stunt Coordinator Art Camacho for his impressive ability to ride horses, act, and execute stunts simultaneously. Furthermore, Stunt Coordinator Amos Carver commended Bill for his responsiveness to direction during the filming of Spiked, as well as for his precision driving and FX work in the 2022 video game Saint's Row, which led to his Taft-Hartley eligibility for SAG membership.
